If I were given wings,
above the clouds I'd soar.
To heights so near to heaven
I'd knock upon its door.
In silent flight I'd spread my wings
across the azure sky
I'd hear the gentle whispers
of voices while I fly.
The voices would be the angels,
they would fly with me
Graceful friends who quietly glide
forever on Heavenly seas.
With the wings that I'd be given
freedom would forever be mine
To play and dance above the clouds
On moon beams I would glide.
If I were given wings
my heart would fill with peace.
To float and drift so close to God
I'd feel His warm embrace.
