Sunrise from my backyard


Countless colors engulf the sky


A prelude to the sun's entrance.

The darkness slowly steps aside

Day break.

The picture is exquisite

Created by the Artist with both love and precision.

The pastels grow more intense

the soft pink becomes a brilliant red.

Finally the fiery orb makes its entrance

Its presence is warm and comforting,

becoming more so as its stay lengthens.

Time is short and eventide draws near.

The exit is much like the entrance

Silent

Slow

Serene

Powerful.
